Mancat Monday

When I took the stray kitty to be neutered, the vet's office named him Tom and I'm thinking I might stick with that name...Tom only comes by 1-2 times a week, so I believe he actually has a home or he's possibly a neighborhood cat that stops by different houses for food and company as he pleases...Whatever his situation, we love seeing him and he is extended family to us!

Thankful Thursday

Another thankful day for the awards our kind blog friends have given us lately...We are so honored you guys thought of us and very grateful for the wonderful friendships we have made in the last 5 months.

I was given the Honest Scrap award by my fun, upbeat friend at Lazaro Cooks!...Lazaro made up his own rules and posted 5 random things about himself, so I will do the same...

1. I am a Private Investigator.
2. I keep cat food and dog food in my car to feed homeless animals.
3. I believe in smiling at strangers and showing kindness to others as much as possible.
4. I am a Libra, born on October 13, so I consider 13 my lucky number.
5. I love to travel and my favorite vacation spot in the United States is Hawaii, I've been there 5 times; I've also been to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, England, Mexico and a few islands in the Caribbean.

I was given the Life Is Good Award from my sweet friends at Sherkhan's Meowsings, Kat's Kats and A Wizard And An Angel...I posted this award a few weeks ago on May 27 and you can read my answers here, but I wanted to acknowledge and thank my lovely friends for this wonderful honor.

The Versatile Blogger Award was given to us by a number of great friends as well: Sammy and Andy's Meowsville, Danielle at The Life Of A Spoiled Cat, Spot And Fiona and Gotchi-O-Gato...You are supposed to share 9 things about yourself and pass it on to 9 blogs you think are fantastic.

1. My 3 girls are biological sisters, all born in Arizona; Calle and Halle arrived here at 13 weeks old and Sukki came to live with us when she was 16 months old.

2. Daddy Cat was born in my garage and I don't know about Mommy Cat; she was found asleep in my garage when she was around 8 weeks old.

3. Calle and Halle have never given birth, but Sukki was a Mommy to 1 litter of kittens before she arrived here.

4. Mommy Cat and Daddy Cat had 1 litter of kittens together in my garage on May 13, 2001.

5. Calle and Halle have both had teeth pulled, but Sukki has not.

6. Mommy Cat and Daddy Cat have never had teeth pulled.

7. Calle and Halle were Christmas gifts from my parents; Sukki's first Mom needed to find a home for her and asked me to take her, which turned out to be a wonderful gift as well.

8. Mommy Cat and Daddy Cat choose to be here, so they kind of adopted me, when they decided to make the garage their home 10 years ago.

9. All of my cats are loving, affectionate babies and they all really enjoy being together.

As we stated before, we are cats and we play by our own rules, so, once again, we want our blogging friends to pick an award they would like and accept it from us with love and friendship.

Balinese Calle and Siamese Halle are litter mates; they are very close, but also very different, not only physically, but in temperament as well...They are both extremely affectionate cats, but Calle is gentle and accommodating, while Halle is independent with cattitude!

Once again, we are posting some wonderful awards we have been given and celebrating our sweet blog friends who passed them along to us; we will finish posting our new awards next Thursday.

Kat, a talented Mom with 4 handsome boys over at Kat's Kats, gave us this cool, unique award, The Catnapping Seal of Approval Award!

My new friend, Sharon, a wonderful writer at Random Thoughts, gave me The "Creative Writer" Blogger Award and I am supposed to tell 4 truths about myself and 1 untruth...

1. I was born in New Orleans.
2. I graduated from a Catholic all girl high school.
3. I attended LSU-Baton Rouge.
4. I have done volunteer work in the Burn Unit at LSU Medical Center and for Hospice.
5. I am 29 years old. :)

1. Mommy Cat and Daddy Cat are very happy in their garage home.
2. Mommy Cat and Daddy Cat are happy to have each other.
3. Affection makes all of my cats happy.
4. My girls are very happy in their stroller.
5. My girls are happy to hang out together on their cat tree.

Mommy Cat and Daddy Cat often hang out together outside=they really love each other!
