Angel Mommy Cat...

It is with a sad, broken heart that I let you all know I helped my precious Mommy Cat go to the Bridge on Tuesday evening...She had been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism around 4 years ago and had been doing well on medication until recently; but when her little body became so frail and tired, I knew it was time to let her go…Although we are never ready to part with these treasured babies, I do believe she was ready to meet her Daddy Cat and their son, Jax at the Bridge...She was a wonderful, loving, strong girl who loved her family dearly=she was a precious baby to me for 18.5 years, a wonderful companion for 15.5 years to Daddy Cat, a great Mom/friend to their son, Jax for 6 years and a loving sister to Calle/Halle for 14.5 years/Sukki for almost 11 years...You can read her story by clicking on her tab at the top of our page.  After 10 years outside, Mommy Cat moved into her garage apartment with Daddy Cat 8.5 years ago; after grieving his death almost 3 years ago, she chose to become a welcome member of our family in the main house…She was truly, deeply loved and will never be forgotten...Thank you to all who grew to care for her through this blog=your friendship and support these last 9+ years has been greatly appreciated...I have so many photos of my darling girl and will continue to post for her and Daddy Cat as long as I continue our blog.

LOVE never dies...LOVE is eternal.

“All the years between us…All the years…All the LOVE…All the hours…”~Virginia Woolf

I had already scheduled these photos for Mommy Cat's Throwback Thursday post today; these were taken in 2007 in the garage at our old house.

My beautiful girl...the way she was...

I'm so very sorry. Even though, with your love and care, Mommy Cat (and her mate Daddy Cat) lived a long, treasured life, it's still sad that she had to leave. We loved Mommy Cat and will remember her always.

Oh Bast! We are all crying here... It is so sad to hear that Mommy Cat had to go over The Bridge. She and Daddy Cat were truly unique in our world. Their dedication to each other was something we doubt we will ever have the experience to read about again.

She and Daddy Cat preceded our existence and that of TBT reading cat blogs at all, and that is sure going pretty far back. We did not realize how old she was. Some cats just seem to appear timeless. But we read of their lives together through you and were always so happy to experience their devotion 3rd paw, so to speak.

We followed their love through the slightly opened garage door to Mommy Cat's first tentative visits into the house after Daddy Cat had to leave.

She, and of course Daddy Cat (because there could not be one without the other) will always hold a special place in our hearts. We share your sadness. Our world just became a little smaller ...

What a beautiful creature Mommy Cat was (but then, aren't they all?) I wish your little one could have stayed longer, but it was kind and wise of you to let her go when you did, kind and wise and undoubtedly very difficult. God bless you, and godspeed, Mommy Cat.

Jacqueline, Calle, Halle, & Sukki,
Allow me to add my condolences upon Mommy Cat's passing. What a treasure she is, and what an explorer! (Just the way she appeared in photos to be easing softly and gently around the rooms and hallways in your house -- peeking, and checking things....she seemed like an explorer, to me.)
Thank you for sharing Mommy Cat with your blog audience.
Blessings and peace.
