We never know what to make of ice cubes, when the human puts them in our water bowl. LOL. Maybe we need Daddy Cat to show us they're not little monsters in our bowl. :-)
I once tried iced water as a treat during a very hot spell and was treated to a look that would have frozen me to the marrow. Apparently water should contain no foreign bodies in this house tho' Red will occasionally mop up condensation from a glass with his paw.
Daddy cat however is one smart gent with a very sophisticated palate unlike my uncouth twosome. He also has a very kind owner who knows exactly how he likes his drinks served.
How unusual. We do like water with ice in it to play with, but we prefer it be in Mom's or Dad's glass. And we love to bat ice cubes around the kitchen floor, especially when the weather's cold so we can watch the cubes melt on the heated kitchen floor. What nice feeding stations for Mommy and Daddy cat with kitty placemats! Ice water is very nice especially in summer! I sometimes put ice in water and Goro likes to play with it rather than drink :-)
